Head of Wealth Management
Thomas M. Dowling is the Head of Wealth Management at Alliance Global Partners, serving clients from both Hilton Head, South Carolina, and New York City. Before joining Alliance Global Partners, Thomas led the East Coast expansion of a publicly traded investment banking firm. He served as Vice President and Senior Advisor at a regional investment advisory firm, where he was a member of both the Chairman’s Council and the President’s Circle. He later founded Quadstar Capital Advisors, a boutique advisory firm serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
Thomas has been featured in multiple financial publications. He has served as a guest speaker for esteemed organizations, including the Evelyn Brust Financial Research and Education Foundation and the South Carolina Business Review. He has also volunteered with The Dale Carnegie Training Institute, which focuses on developing leadership, communication, and public speaking skills. Additionally, he is the founder and chairman of The Resource Group, a collaborative forum that brings together business owners to exchange insights and enhance their companies.
Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Finance from the State University of New York. He also completed the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) program in partnership with The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification—placing him among a select group of professionals nationwide who have achieved both. These credentials required extensive education, rigorous examinations, and significant professional experience, along with a commitment to ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards. He is also a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist℠ (CRPS®).
Thomas is a member of several leading industry organizations, including the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of South Carolina, the New York Society of Security Analysts, the Financial Planning Association of South Carolina, and the Investments & Wealth Institute. He currently serves on the Boards of the Hilton Head Boys & Girls Club, the Council of Estate and Financial Advisors, and the Town of Hilton Head Accommodations Tax Committee. He is also a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.
Outside of his professional work, Thomas is devoted to his family and community. He credits his wife and two sons for grounding his values and perspective. He actively coaches and volunteers in local youth sports programs, contributing to the development of leadership and teamwork among the next generation.
